The Google tools are great. I signed up for an alert on origami. It'll be interesting to see what comes my way.
I like the notebook and think it might be very good for student research. Also, like the calendar and sharing ideas for family and friends. The only problem I see with all of this is time. There is so much available, but sorting out what is really going to be useful eats up the day. I'm glad I'm doing this during the summer!

amen on the time issue... this should be worth more than just 18 hours!!!
Try Google Docs for making handouts and presentations, then the students can just see it online, instead of making copies--this works well for research too.
I made a presentation for Flowers for Algernon and it's able to be viewed publicly, so all of my students and team members can see it, and my co workers can collaborate.
All of Google tools are fun to play with and the many ways you can use them to save time is wonderful!
